Spring Clean Up Day  -----  May 18th

Everyone Join In For A Fun Day!!!

Invitations will be delivered to your door and please don't forget to respond. We will need volunteers for planting flowers at our entry ways, for walking areas with sticks and clean up bags, food serving, or anything else our Grounds Chairman, Joe Dirks, has in mind. We will start about 8:30 a.m. with Krispy Creme Donuts, coffee and juice and conversation. A delicious catered barbecue lunch will be served to all about noon. Don't miss this great event to meet your neighbors and help beautify our community!

Many Thanks…

To all of you for the great cooperation on the sprinkler turn on. Our new grounds contract with TruGreen should cover all our community needs. All concerns should be directed to Brenda Tate, our Community Manager with Management Specialists, Inc., at 303-734- 9013. Each week your sprinklers will be checked, adjusted if necessary , and water flow regulated. Last year a limited number of homeowners fertilized their own yards in addition to that which was applied by the maintenance company. As a result, the grass was burned. Let's leave this task up to the maintenance people.

Reminder From Design Review

Our community is truly a beautiful one, and especially lovely in the Springtime when the flowers begin to bloom and the trees leaf out! Just a reminder to complete a Design Review Request form for any changes you want to make to the EXTERIOR of your home and lot. Whether it's just planting another tree (which we encourage) or shrub, putting up a bird feeder or adding a storm door or awning to your home, please be mindful of your neighbors and our covenants and guidelines. If you need Design Review forms or a copy of the Design Review Guidelines, please call Linda Massey at 720-870-7464.

Social Calendar

  • Bunco Babes --- We have gambling going on right here in the Sanctuary! Well, sort of. On the second Thursday evening of every month, you can get in on the fun playing this hilarious and quick-paced game with your neighbors. There is absolutely no skill involved and the rules are easy to learn. If you are interested, call Becky Palsmeier at 303-699-5058 to get on the list. The game is limited to 12 players and there is a $5 fee each time (for prizes). Our next game will be May 9th at 7 p.m. at the home of Beth Schutt, Joan Searcy on June 13th, and Marilyn Jones on July 11th. If we have enough interest we could start an afternoon group. Oh yea, one other thing. Although it is politically incorrect, this is for girls only! Come join us!!

  • "Buck A Burger" 50's Party! Save August 10th for this fun party!

  • Welcome To New Neighbors

Rafael and Angela Quinones moved into our community over the Easter weekend. They live at 6251 S. Blackhawk Way and their new phone number is 303-400-3568. Before moving to Sanctuary, they lived in Parker for many years. Rafael is retired from the United States Army and is working now as a mail carrier. Angela is a professional hair dresser, working in Parker. They are nice folks and looking forward to meeting the rest. of us who live here. Please make them feel welcome.

Our newest neighbors are John and Cassie Pazour. They moved into 6229 S. Carson Street and their phone number is 303-400- 8068. Having moved many times (28!) previously, Cassie is happy to settle in Colorado once again. John and Cassie spent the past five years in Chesapeake, VA and prior to that, 20 years in our beautiful state of Colorado. John is the new City Manager for Centennial, and Cassie will be returning to work at a legal firm. They have two sons. John is originally from Iowa, Cassie is from Chicago and is an avid gardener. They are glad to be "coming home" to Colorado and we're glad they're here, too!
