Your New Neighbors

We have new residents living in the Sanctuary! Meet:

Norm and Marylou Klein, 6221 S. Blackhawk Ct.
Norm is retired but is still active in CPA consulting. Marylou is a homemaker. They have three grown sons. They have lived in the Denver area since 1980. Norm has known another of our residents, Jim Palsmeier, for many years, having been in partnership together in Wichita.
Barbara Sydow, 6274 S. Blackhawk Ct.
Barbara moved into the Sanctuary June 28th, all the way from Florida. She was born in Germany, the daughter of a military dad. She runs national operations for Aurora Loan Service, a mortgage company, and travels extensively. Barbara has two very cute Cocker Spaniels, Snickers and Gentleman Jack
Mitchell Tysler, 6243 S. Blackhawk Ct.
Mitchell is our youngest resident, son of Andy and Venee Tysler. Mitchell was born on June 16th and was adopted into the Tysler family June 21st. Andy and Venee were on the adoption list 2-1/2 yrs waiting for their little one (and you thought 9 months was long!) Andy is our resident "Beerman" and Venee works in on-site sales for the new development at Lowry. They plan to get back on the list for a little brother or sister for Mitchell after the required six months waiting period is complete.

Annual HOA Meeting Dec. 4th
This year's annual meeting of the Sanctuary Homeowner's Association will be December 4th, 2003 at 7:00pm at Valley Country Club in the Men's Grill. Election of officers will take place that evening. Please put the date on your calendar and make plans to attend.

Be A Good Neighbor
In a community as close-knit as ours is it is especially important to treat each other with consideration and respect. One way to be a good neighbor is to clean up after your pets if they leave little souvenirs in other folks' yards or common areas. This applies to cigarette smokers who disgard butts in these areas also. And it would be lovely if dog owners would not allow their dogs to bark outside in their yards unattended, especially before 8:00am or after 10:00pm. Let's be really nice to each other, shall we?

Are you ready for some Oom Pa Pa?
Get out your calendar and mark down the evening of September 13th for some Beer and Brats and Big Fun! The party will begin at 6:00pm in the area north of Hill's house. The cost is $7.50pp or $15.00/couple and reservations made (with payment) to Jean Roup no later than Sept. 6, cash or check made out to Jean only. Don't miss our 2nd Annual Oktoberfest, it will be gut fun!

Jordan Road Status
The closing of Jordan Rd. as an entry to the shooting range is scheduled for May, 2004. The Park's current plan is to barricade the road .25 mile north of Maplewood Ave. This ¼ mile will give a turn-around area for those entering the road by mistake. There will be no foot or bicycle entry into the park from Jordan Road, therefore, no parking area will be built on the road.
After May 2004 entry to the shooting range will be through the park via the Parker Rd. or Union St. entries. Foot or bicycle entry will be through current bike paths. Currently the shooting range can be accessed via Jordan Rd. or from within park property. Park rangers will ticket any vehicle in the park without a valid Colorado State Park pass. Meanwhile, south on Jordan at Windmill Creek, construction of the culvert should commence in September and be complete in December - we shall see.

Notorious Gate News
For those of you curious about what's new regarding the VCC Estates gate, Joe Dirks and Steve Jeffries have spent many hours working with the City of Centennial to get the gate removed, so far to no avail. A decision has been made to allow people with medical needs access through the gate providing they properly fill out an application form and pay appropriate "fees" (to be determined it seems by Valley Estates.) If you are interested in obtaining this form or would like more information contact Joe or Steve. This issue isn't dead by any means and legal avenues are being investigated. Stay tuned…..
