Your Neighbor
Ralph and Janet Hanna live at 14141 E. Maplewood Ave. with their cute dog, Sorbie (named for Sorbie Tower at Hanna Castle in Scot- land.) One of Ralph's hobbies is Scottish history and meeting with the Hanna Clan. You should see him in his kilt!
Ralph and Janet are originally from Ft. Collins Both were children of ranchers and have known each other since 2nd grade. Interestingly, when Janet & Ralph had been married for 15 years, their widowed parents (his dad and her mother) married! So, not only is Janet Ralph's wife, she is also his step-sister! Ralph graduated from CU in Business and Janet attended CSU. Ralph worked for Union Carbide Corp. after college, making 9 moves across the country with Janet and eventually 3 children. 27 years ago he said "enough" and moved the family back to Colorado where he owned a food brokerage company for 25 years. He is now retired. Janet is very active in volunteer work, especially with the Cancer League. They both love to travel, and enjoy golf and fly-fishing. They are also involved in Classic Golf, escorting tours for golf in Scotland. The Hannas have two sons and 1 daughter, all living in Colorado, and 5 grandchildren.
Before moving to Sanctuary Ralph and Janet lived in Southmoor Park for 24 years. Ralph is currently President of the Homeowner's Assn; and has been since the association was formed 3-1/2 years ago. He is looking forward to passing the leadership roll over to Steve Jeffries in December. Both Janet and Ralph have been instrumental in uniting our neighborhood into a community and are committed to service and excellence. We thank them for these past years of faithful leadership and friendship and willingness to always help out. Nice to know you.
