Your Neighbor
Since our last Newsletter came out, we have had three new families move into the Sanctuary. Let me introduce you to…..
Ed and Jane Heath and their puppy "Honey" are living at 6177 S. Carson. They are both natives of Denver, although career moves have kept them from returning until 1984. They moved to Sanctuary from Littleton, looking to find a home with less space and maintenance. Both Jane and Ed are retired, however, Ed is a licensed auto appraiser, specializing in old antique cars and pursues this hobby for enjoyment. Jane retired from teaching, loves playing golf and paints in watercolors. The Heaths have 2 sons living in California and 4 granddaughters. Their phone number is 303-779-0975.
Earl and Bonnie Wenngren just moved into 6244 S. Blackhawk. Bonnie is a teacher at Campus Middle School and Ed is a veterinarian at Wingate Veterinary Hospital. They moved to Sanctuary from Willow Creek. They have a daughter living at home, named Claire, who is a senior at Cherry Creek HS. And a cat named Toby. Ed is originally from the Chicago area and Claire is from Wisconsin and they moved to Colorado in 1978 from Oak Park, IL. Their phone number is 303-796-9513
Jeff Holmes and Peggy Harrison are the new owners of the house at 6253 S. Blackhawk. Jeff is living there now; Peggy will move in after their wedding on December 22nd at her family home in Missouri. They have known each other for 22 years and have been dating for the past five. Peggy went to college here and has been a teacher in Colorado for 26 years. Jeff is originally from Oklahoma and is a District Court Magistrate for Arapahoe Co. Peggy has a cat named Mandarin Orange Cat, "Mandy" for short. Jeff and Peggy like to travel, enjoy dining out and reading. Their phone number is 720-876-2265
We welcome all of our new neighbors and look forward to getting to know you. We hope you love living here!

Helpful Hint
You only need two tools - WD-40 and DUCT TAPE. If it doesn't move and should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

BUNCO BABES
We are having lots of fun each month playing Bunco, but we are always looking for cheerful new faces to join us. We meet at 7:00pm the second Thursday of each month, play for a couple of hours and enjoy a dessert provided by our hostess and good fellowship and much laughter. Call one of the "hostesses" if you'd like to play - it's easy and a great way to meet folks.

Social Committee
We have a couple of openings on the Social Committee for next year. If you love to plan parties, or get-togethers or outings, this is the spot for you! No particular talent or experience is required, just a desire to get our community involved and enjoy the company of others living here. Call Marilyn Fitzgerald for more information 303-690-5040.
We are also looking for volunteers for other committees in the Sanctuary. This is a great way to get involved, to meet other neighbors and to have a voice in making this the most wonderful place to live in Colorado. Call Steve Jeffries (our new President for 2003) to find your perfect place to serve, 303-699-0159.
Newest, Youngest Resident
On August 24th we gained one new resident in the Sanctuary. Born to Joanna and Bill Lloyd, Jaxon William Lloyd made his appearance weighing in at 7 pounds and 20-1/2 " long. According to his mom, Jax is a sweet natured baby with a good appetite! His Daddy has two other children, Evan and Kendel, who will be spending a little more time here with their new little brother. Bill and Joanna were among the very first residents to live in the Sanctuary, moving in July 1999. We welcome Jax and look forward to watching him grow up!
Turn off your washer faucets!
This is a horrible story. One of our neighbors left on an extended vacation, and shortly after she left, the hose to her washer ruptured, pouring gallons and gallons of water onto the floor, into the basement, under the sub floor and making a huge, disastrous mess. The cleanup and work to restore everything is still going on. This is a hard lesson to learn, but remember to turn off your faucets when leaving for vacation and avoid this possibility.
Why is there an unofficial used car lot at Arapahoe and Jordan? Would you buy a car there?
